Cumberland Island Sea Turtles

I was able to go out very early one morning and work the sea turtle patrol with one of the turtle interns Amanda. It was a gorgeous day and it was great seeing what they do everyday, driving the entire length of the Cumberland seashore, collecting sand dollars and shells, and best of all – protecting new turtle nests.

Pictures below are from that day and additional pictures provided by Amanda as new events happened. I love sea turtles so much my afternoon program at Sea Camp is on them.
