Beaufort for Thanksgiving 2013
Traveled to Beaufort, SC to look at houses. Don met me so I could get his opinion of the area since I would very much like to make a GOOD decision on this next move. [Show picture list]

Delayed the trip by a week due to the tropical storm heading into the area and then another two days when two fronts met creating rain. I lucked out and then hit a two week window of almost perfect weather. The first stop was Charleston for 3 days. I did a long walk of the […]
Driving home from Charleston I simply could not believe how disgusting my vehicle was. It was beyond filthy. It shouldn’t be possible for a vehicle to be that dirty. Yellow labs shed a ridiculous amount year round but twice a year, when they change coats, they shed an almost obscene amount. I was aware they […]
We ran out to Edisto in the morning. I loved the beach front resort area. Everyone riding bikes or walking, cool beach houses. Edisto State Park is split into two sections. The beach and not-so-beautiful beach camping. A short distance away is the area with numerous trails through forest and a campground that buries each […]
It was hot and humid in Charleston so it limited how much I could stand to do outside. It was killing the dogs too. Loved the city and really loved all the palm trees. I plan to go back in cooler weather and do a lot of walking around downtown.

It’s clear these people take pride in their homes and it makes touring the area pleasant and the scenery picturesque. When I […]
Lucked out while loading the camper and only had misting rain. Not so lucky when leaving. It started raining in earnest and poured for the first hour and a half. I tucked in behind semi’s that were taking it easy and let all the traffic fly by. The rain had pretty much stopped when I […]
While coming back from my first trip with my new camper I stopped for gas before I was to get on I-75 in Kentucky, as always worried about mileage and the cost of traveling. I was pumping gas when two young women approached me asking me to give them gas in the container they were […]
Cumberland Falls are called the “Niagra Falls of the South” and are known for having a moonbow on clear, full moon nights. I would love to go back to see that. This was just a quick side trip to see the falls. It was a beautiful 75 degree day and as we walked along the […]
